A healthy stream of volunteers is the lifeblood of many non-profit organizations, so when CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Oklahoma County approached Krush they had a specific goal in mind—to grow their volunteer base by the end of 2018. CASA's mission is to provide trained court appointed volunteers who advocate for the individualized best interests of children in foster care. Krush has worked to improve the experience on CASA's website, create printed materials that educate potential volunteers, and increase awareness of CASA's mission through traditional and digital media buys.

the solution: messaging with a heart

Knowing our primary goal was to fill the “volunteer funnel” for CASA, Krush created a total marketing plan which included social media advertising, display advertising, video production/media placement, SEO, graphic design, print production and a website redesign. In order to engage our target demographic of male and female age 21-65+ with an affinity interest in volunteering or non-profit, we knew social media advertising would be an integral part of this campaign.

The goal of this campaign was to get people to attend CASA’s monthly Open House or set a meeting with the Recruitment Director. As of August 2018, there were enough volunteers in the system being trained to allow us to shift our focus to other goals laid out by CASA going into 2019.

Krush branded to over 3.65 million with a reach of over 460,000 potential volunteers
Through social media the campaign has achieved 560 actionable volunteer leads with an $4.92 average CPM (cost per thousand)
New training classes have been added by the CASA staff to accommodate the influx of new volunteers

website development & user experience

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality works to protect the state’s land, water, and air. There are multiple departments that function within the agency and all departments publish their own portion of the DEQ website. Krush worked with DEQ to improve the user experience of their website design, as well as creating secure functionality that supports the content needs of all departments within one website. The website is scheduled to go live this year.

OKC Music Box provides rental spaces for out of town bands to warm up, as well as up-and-coming artists to practice. From young new musicians to seasoned and professional bands, musicians come to OKC Music Box to get their jam on. Krush Digital set out to build a cool and modern website to reflect the laid back and inspirational vibe inside the business. Krush helped OKC Music Box with a website that's easy to navigate and easy to maintain.

Scapes Inc. is a local landscape design and building firm that services both residential and commercial clients. The company was wanting a logo design that reflected their level of craftsmanship and skill. Krush worked to incorporate important elements into a natural aesthetic that was truly representative of the values of Scapes. Branding efforts extended into business cards, vehicle wraps, and clothing.

Oklahoma Crime Victim’s Compensation works to provide funds to victims of violent crimes in the state of Oklahoma. Krush worked with OCVC to design and develop a website that could support their mission. Krush continued their work for OCVC developing public service announcements to raise awareness of the services offered by OCVC, as well as instructional videos to guide users through the application process.

Mister Sparky is a national franchise that provides residential electrical services. While all franchises uphold national brand standards, there is room for some creativity when it comes to the promotion of the brand internally. Krush worked with Mister Sparky to create internal swag for a 10 year anniversary, as well as collateral to support sales goals and tech training.

Comfort Masters is a local spray foam installation company that was in need of a logo design, brand identity, and a website. Krush worked with Comfort Masters to create a logo that modern and embodied their durable product. The new brand guidelines supported creation of a business card and the new The Comfort Masters Insulation website, which guides users through product selections and benefits.

ElmTree System offers software that automates the process of construction materials testing, from sample collection to billing. ElmTree was in need of logo design and website creation, as well as SEO efforts that would increase their visibility in search results. Krush worked with ElmTree to develop an identity that embodied their innovative spirit and a website that helped users to quickly understand the benefits of their product.

Block23 is the resident restaurant at the Sheraton Oklahoma City Downtown Hotel. This new restaurant location wanted a logo that was true to their chic aesthetic and the liveliness of their downtown location. Krush worked with Block23 to create a logo that was true personality of this local restaurant and patio.

giving a historic university’s website new life

Founded in 1908, USAO (University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma) is the only Oklahoma college to be named a National Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places. After celebrating a century of growth and innovation there was one glaring issue which needed to be remedied—they had an outdated website which made them appear less historic and more old-fashioned. The Krush team immersed themselves in the culture of USAO to understand their unique heritage and the modern challenges they face.

Krush sent a team to spend a day at the university where we immersed ourselves in the history, values and culture of the school. We walked away understanding USAO was a unique and special place and their new website design needed to reflect the individuality of this historic institution.

Our design strategy was to combine tradition and innovation in equal amounts. This blend of old and new created a design which feels both stable and agile, forward-thinking and firmly rooted in history.

the results: verklempt

Verklempt is a Yiddish word describing a person as too emotional to speak. As we presented our design, USAO’s Communications and Marketing team sat mostly in silence. When we asked if they had any questions—more silence. That’s when we noticed the director of the department had tears in her eyes, a huge smile on her face and a lump in her throat. Then we knew, all our hard work had been worth it.
